Since 2000 Mexican jazz cellist Jorge Mendoza, has performed in jazz festivals, theaters, public forums and concert halls in the United States (Long Beach and Los Angeles, California), South America (Villarica and Asuncion, Paraguay and Lima, Peru) and all around Mexico in the states of Jalisco, Nayarit, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Querétaro, Michoacán and Colima.
He was also invited to perform the closing concert for Jazzeando 2004, an annual jazz festival held in Mexico City.
Has recorded two albums: Jorge Mendoza, CELLOQUIUM, which contains original compositions, and A JAZZ CELLOQUIUM, mostly standard jazz pieces.
In October 2004, an article titled Jorge Mendoza, Mexican Jazz Cellist Moves Out And Up appeared in the prestigious STRINGS MAGAZINE.
